Bugs About Bugs About is a travelling interactive education program for all ages. We are available for incursions, parties, and community events in and around Sydney.

Bugs About provides an interactive hands on experience for people of all ages. Our experienced bug educators come to you to entertain and inform. We travel all over Sydney visiting preschools, playgroups, schools, retirement facilities, festivals and parties. Contact us for bug displays, shows and parties.

An exciting discovery in Western Sydney! 👀🐌

Penrith City Council staff spotted an endangered Cumberland Plain land snail, discovered at Castlereagh Council Reserve in Londonderry.

It’s the first recorded sighting for this public reserve and another reminder of the importance of protecting remnant bushland across the Cumberland Plain.

LLS identified and confirmed it was the endangered Cumberland Plain land snail.

Interestingly, snails found in the Castlereagh ecosystem are often much darker than those found elsewhere. Scientists are still investigating why this is, but it may be linked to local conditions or differences in their diet.

Each new record helps improve our understanding of threatened species and reinforces why protecting native habitat matters 💚
