👮‍♂️ 19yr old charged over alleged murder plot against man and teenage girl.

ℹ️ If you remember the story we reported on back in June, about a gunman pointing a gun at a man and his 15yr daughter outside a school in Fairfield West, this is the update to it.

Taskforce Falcon detectives have arrested and charged a 19-year-old man following an investigation into an alleged attempted shooting in Fairfield West.

Police allege that around 3pm on Tuesday, 9/6/2026, a gunman pointed a handgun at a 44yr old man seated in a parked ute on Hamilton Road, Fairfield West. The driver’s 15yr old daughter was also in the vehicle at the time.

Fortunately, both victims escaped unharmed, though left deeply shaken.

Yesterday afternoon, Strike Force Gelaro detectives, assisted by Raptor Squad, intercepted a vehicle in Sans Souci and arrested the 19yr old suspect.

At the same time, police executed a search warrant in Cronulla where they allegedly seized a knife, an amount of illicit drugs and electronic devices.

👮‍♂️ He faces multiple charges including:
‣ Two counts of attempt to discharge loaded arms at a person with intent to murder
‣ Install/use a tracking device to find an object without consent
‣ Supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis
‣ Knowingly direct activities of a criminal group
‣ Supply a prohibited drug greater than a small quantity and less than an indictable quantity
‣ Possess or use a prohibited weapon without a permit

👨‍⚖️ He was refused bail to appear at court today.

👮‍♂️ Reports of an attempted carjacking at the Metro petrol station in .

ℹ️ Andrew, one of our community reporters sent this in:

"Metro Petroleum Canley Heights at the corner of Canley Vale Road and Salisbury Street is currently closed and cordoned off with police tape due to a possible armed robbery.

I don't know what time this exactly happened but it was taken at 5:13pm when I went passed the scene in my car.

I will provide further information once I get more from other people, news channels or NSW Police."

❓ Did anyone see what happened in Canley Heights?

💥🚗 Did you witness a hit and run on a parked car on St Johns rd today?

ℹ️ A community member reached out to us asking for help.

She said:

"My car was parked along **St Johns Road, near Ascot Street, Cabramatta**, opposite a Buddhist temple/house, around 1.30pm to 4.30pm when it was hit by another vehicle. Unfortunately, the driver left without leaving any details.

Based on the location and damage, I suspect a vehicle may have reversed out from the property opposite and accidentally hit my car. It may have been a **white car**, but I cannot confirm this.

I'm hoping someone in the area may have witnessed the incident or have CCTV or dashcam footage that could help identify the vehicle."

❓ Did you see the crash? If you did, please comment below or let us know and we'll pass you on to the community member.

🏮 Moon Festival celebrations at the Mounties Club last week.

ℹ️ One of the most fun club celebrations in our local area each year as the lions tour the club and entertain the guests and diners there for the evening.

9 lions braved bad weather that night to celebrate the at the Mounties.

📸 If you missed the performance, we've got a highlights video, thanks to our favourite lion chaser.

❓ Did you catch the lions that night? If you didn't, make sure you don't miss the next one!

[📢 PSA]: ⏰ Just a reminder that Daylight Savings Time starts tomorrow, Sunday, October 4th.

🕑 Don't forget to wind any manual clocks (and your rolexes 😅) forward 1 hour before going to bed tonight. For the night owls, when the clock hits 2AM, it'll be magically 3AM.

A moment of sadness for the people that have to get up 1hr earlier to go to work tomorrow 😢.

⛈️ Looks like a big storm is headed our way!

ℹ️ Dark clouds are forming and you can hear the thunder outside.

The radar shows a big storm heading towards Liverpool, so our Elizabeth Hills and Cecil Hills community may get most of it, but parts of the storm does show it will come down over Fairfield.

Hopefully the worst of it misses our area.

If you're out on the road, please drive safely and turn your headlights on, once the weather gets bad.

❓ Did it storm where you are?
