Nautanki Theatre Nautanki Theatre is the leading voice in theatre arts to vanguard South Asian stories and creation in Australia since 2012.

Nautanki is one of the most popular folk operatic theatre performance traditions of South Asia. Before the advent of Bollywood (Bombay film industry), Nautanki was the single most popular form of entertainment in the villages and towns of northern India. Recently the term Nautanki synonyms to overreacting to something which doesn't look real and looks more like an act of drama or play as performed

on the platform of stage. Nautanki also indicates that someone who has met you cannot accept your style of talking and over reacts herself/himself as well or cannot digest on what u have said or done. Its sometime termed as one saying in gesture or feeling over reacted to.

10 Years of "Ten Years To Home"

Written by Sonal Moore in 2016 as a commission work through the Drama~Sutra playwriting project, this semi‑autobiographical original work reflects on her childhood in the 1960s and 70s during the era of 'White Australia' and its gradual dismantling, while her parents go through the turbulence of settling down.

A migrant story that has been winning hearts of Australians, from Parramatta (2019) to Sydney City (2024) and now in Campbelltown next week, strictly for 3 shows. Tickets are selling fast!

The nail-biting documentary HANGING BY A WIRE follows a desperate rescue attempt when a cable car carrying eight people fails 900 metres above a deadly ravine in Pakistan. From Oscar-winner Orlando von Einsiedel, THE CYCLE OF LOVE recounts the heart-warming true story of a Delhi street artist's attempt to cycle from India to Sweden to reunite with the love of his life. The award-winning drama MASTER sees a smalltown elected official in Bangladesh weigh his values against power and fame. And Australian filmmaker Anoop Lokkur draws on personal memories for DON’T TELL MOTHER, a delicate drama about family life in 1990s Bangalore (now Bengaluru).

Nautanki Theatre's latest production, "Ten Years To Home", is coming to the Campbelltown Arts Centre for a strictly limited three-show season. Written by Sonal Moore and directed by Neel Banerjee, this semi-autobiographical play tells the true story of three generations of women in a South Asian migrant family navigating life in Australia from 1959 through the 1970s.

Mark is an Australian-born Filipino writer, editor, speaker and panellist from Doonside. Mark completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications at Western Sydney University in 2017, and currently works as the Program Guide Editor at SBS. Proudly q***r, Mark’s editorial and contributor work spans across Mamamia, ABC, and SBS. Mark is also active across SBS Filipino, SBS PopAsia, and SBS Voices.

Mark volunteers as an editor for The Western, a growing media hub created for Western Sydney by those who live and breathe it. Mark has also represented Australia at the Harvard University Project for Asian International Relations, a conference dedicated to connecting entrepreneurial minds across the Asia Pacific. Currently, Mark is curating a component at the Sydney Writers Festival and completing a writer's residency at the Think+DO Tank Foundation.

Rohini is an Adjunct Fellow at the Humanitarian and Development Research Initiative (HADRI) in the School of Social Sciences, Western Sydney University. She holds a PhD in Sport Sociology from Western Sydney University. Her interdisciplinary research, guided by a social justice perspective and informed by feminist, decolonial, and intersectional frameworks, examines the lived experiences of marginalised communities, particularly women and culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) diasporic populations. Rohini specialises in arts-based and participatory methods that amplify underrepresented voices. Her scholarship spans sport, leisure, migration, diaspora studies, the creative industries, and community development. Her recent book, Young Indo-Fijian Women Breaking Barriers in Fijian Sporting Spaces: An Arts-Based Approach, reflects these commitments. Her current research explores how sport and leisure foster equity, belonging, and diasporic identity across transnational contexts.

Laneikka (they/she) is a q***r writer and actor from Western Sydney. At seventeen, Laneikka wrote their debut play DEADSKIN, which has been performed in Sydney and LA, published by Australian Plays. Their second play FEMINAzi, premiered at Belvoir St Theatre for Sydney World Pride, published by Play Lab Australia. FEMINAzi was shortlisted to be part of the New European Bauhaus Festival's FEST in 2025. They are currently writing a first draft commission for Belvoir St Theatre.

Laneikka’s screenwriting debut OI premiered at Melbourne International Film Festival and was nominated for best short film. OI was selected for the Brisbane International Film Festival, Mardi Gras Film Festival and Flickerfest International Film Festival, where OI was awarded the 'REBEL8 Award for Outstanding Emerging Female Director in an Australian Short Film'.

Gaury works at the intersection of arts, culture and community. His arts practice focuses on storytelling, CACD, writing and performance. Gaury is currently a curator at the Powerhouse Museum and recently completed a two-year writer-in-residence at the Sydney Theatre Company.
