Sunday Sessions is a regular music program hosted on the main stage at KXT on Broadway in Ultimo, Sydney. Curated and facilitated by Charlie Vaux and Clare Hennessy in collaboration with bAKEHOUSE this program opens up the intimate theatre space to emerging bands and alternative music-makers.

This week Cruise opens at Seymour centre the first stop on their tour of Sydney & Melbourne following on from the award-winning sell out season at KXT on Broadway. Chookas to Sean, Fraser, Jeremy and all the wonderful creative team, new and old.

Later in the year Trent Foo’s gorgeous reflection on Christmas runs its second season also at Seymour Centre. This little festive gem was dev in the KXT Vault by Slanted theatre with support from John Harrison. Earlier this year Griffins indie season feat. Afterglow by Sheanna Russon developed at our ground breaking playwrights program Laboratory, in partnership with Montague Basement led by Saro Lusty-Cavallari, and showcased in The Lab Report at KXT on Broadway in 2025. Also a part of the Griffin indie season was Eric Jiang’s Lacuna. Eric was in the inaugural Laboratory program back in KXT in the Cross in 2020. Their debut play Rhomboid (KXT2023) is currently wowing audiences in Melbourne at 45 Downstairs. Earlier in the year Lachlan Parry’s work City of the Plain ran a successful season at ATYP with the new title Straight Panic (directed, designed and produced by Lily & Tyler of Purple Tape Productions) Cassie Hamiltons first play Daddy Developed a Pill was written during their time in the Laboratory and staged as part of KXT2022

Since we’ve first launched in 2015 KXT has been a hothouse and showcase for new work and young playwrights, supporting developments with free space and artist residencies, providing genuine pathways for profile and career progression. In 2026 we’ve formalised our pipelines with partnerships with NIDA and Sydney Fringe, with more to come in 2027
