It's official!

The 2025 Croatian Film Festival was a great success, reaching our greatest ever audience yet!

Over 1000 people attended the festival to watch numerous varied movie sessions across 5 days at Palace Cinema in Sydney.

Almost every session was a sellout and our audience demographic was more varied than ever before, which means that we achieved our goal of ensuring that Croatian Cinema and storytelling reached more eyes and more hearts this year in beautiful Sydney.

None of this success would have been possible without the support of our valued sponsors.

The Croatian Film festival has been a huge success with over 1000 people attending this years festival across 5 days, including a totally SOLD OUT cinema on Saturday afternoon for the one off viewing of CRICKET and ANTOINETTE ( cvrčak i mravica) the animated Croatian family movie gem which was primarily attended by croatian school students and their parents who came from all over Sydney to to watch it and mostly from Hrvatska škola Dr. Ante Starčević Beverly Hills. We loved having you!! ❤️

Huge thanks to Croatian Studies Foundation - Zaklada hrvatskih studija for giving three lucky attendees a bag of wonderful Croatian books to further help immerse and enhance the children’s love of learning Croatian.

Last night we celebrated the opening night of the 2025 Croatian Film Festival. An event which sold out three times!

It was a great success.
A huge thanks to our incredible wine sponsor Tomich Wines from the Adelaide Hills for the exceptional quality of wine provided.
Every single person in attendance commented on how good the wine and champagne was! Wow ❤️

Thanks to our caterer Industrial Harvest for the copious amount of yummy food. Nobody left there hungry.

And thank you to each and every one of you who purchased tickets and supported the great work of Croatia House, helping us serve the Australian public better by bringing Croatian Cinema to Sydney.

We’ve sold a record number of tickets! 730 cinema tickets even before the festival had kicked off!

A third and final cinema has been opened after 200 tickets sold for the best of Croatian shorts this Saturday at 6pm.

So hurry up don’t miss out.
