The breaking Oslo-based outfit Lazy Queen release vibrant new visuals for their single “Bed/Head”

Lazy Queen entered the Norwegian music scene like a breath of fresh air by way of New York, and today, the four-piece led by Henrik García Søberg (they/them) share the video for their cacophonous single “Bed/Head, which premiered exclusively on CLASH magazine.

The vibrant, youthful new visuals arrive alongside news of the band’s hotly anticipated EP, “A Human Reaction”, set for release on March 18th 2022 via Icons Creating Evil Art. There will be more music from Lazy Queen this January - keep your eyes peeled.

Powered by their unique amalgamation of guitar structures from Brooklyn’s DIY scene and bouncy slacker pop melodies, the new track (produced by long-time Lazy Queen collaborator Morten Øby at Taakenheimen Lydriket in Oslo) sees the band take a tongue-in-cheek look at the causality between coping mechanisms and isolation, while knowing life continues all the same.

Speaking on the track, Henrik explains “Bed/Head is what your room smells when you haven’t gotten out of bed for a week straight. It’s feeling like your friends have forgotten you exist, and you’ve given them every reason to. It’s forgetting the sound of your own voice. It’s isolation and looking for a way out. It’s also a noisy pop song.”

The latest offering is an explicitly refreshed direction for Lazy Queen, who inked a new longform recording and publishing deal with Swedish label Icons Creating Evil Art in the summer of 2021. Said Henrik of the new union “we already feel right at home with our neighbouring brothers in ICEA. And we’re hoping to make this union of Norway and Sweden a little less “war-like” than the one from some 100 odd years ago, but only slightly”

“Bed/Head” follows the release of “Get Home or Die Trying”. Released through Eget Selskap and Pick & Mix labels, the darkly beautiful EP served as a crucial catharsis for the band processing personal trauma, allowing them to reassess, grow and move forward. Carefully considered singles “Bid Geal”, “Gutted”, “Throwaway” and “A Place (To Bury Strangers)” received widespread support and critical acclaim from renowned outlets such as Wonderland Magazine, Under The Radar, NYLON, Red Bull Music, Earmilk, Indietronica, Impose Magazine, Medium and more.

Along with extensive streaming and radio support they also played an incendiary set during the US festival , where they as the only Norwegian booking shared the billing with artists such as Billie Eilish, Fantastic Negrito and Måneskin.

With an increasingly vibrant Norwegian Indie Rock scene on the rise, Lazy Queen - as founded by Colombian-Norwegian Henrik García Søberg (they/them) - have made their mark with a sound inspired by the rich traditions of the Brooklyn DIY scene that birthed the band, ambitious and effervescent releases, coupled with their unique ability to convey personal and relatable experiences through García Søberg’s lyrics.

The Oslo-based outfit effortlessly blends harmonic and discordant elements together with an instinctive ear for melody into a playful, innovative and vibrant sound, which affixes both context and contrast to lyrics that often explore life’s more maladjusted corners. It’s immediate. It’s urgent. It impatiently demands your attention.

My fellow Peeps - it has been a long time in-between drinks.

It has been an insane last 3 years - so much has happened..... good and a lot of bad.

But lets not reflect on those things and look forward to hopefully a better new year.

Rock N’ Roll outlaws, Rose Tattoo are proud to announce their Blood Brothers 2018 tour, the first in over eight years. Inspired by a special invitation to Bang Your Head Festival, Germany back in July of this year, the fans requests for ‘another tour’ and the ‘never saynever again’ spirit, Angry has “assembled the finest bunch of rogues, worthy of wearing the colours” for this run.

L.A. Guns Announce - The Missing Peace Australian & NZ 2018 Tour

L.A. GUNS was formed in 1982 by guitar player Tracii Guns and, then unknown singer, Axl Rose on lead vocals.

The "classic lineup" of Guns, former Girl singer Phil Lewis, drummer Steve Riley, guitar player Mick Cripps and bassist Kelly Nickels have sold 6.5 million records, including 1988's L.A. Guns and 1990's Cocked and Loaded, both of which were certified Gold. Cocked and Loaded contained the hit single "Ballad of Jayne" that went to #33 on Billboard's Hot 100 and #25 on the Mainstream Rock charts.

After a nearly 15-year break, Philip Lewis and Tracii Guns are back together for another chapter in their part­nership that began in 1986, 4 years after Tracii formedL.A. GUNS in 1982.

Their writing partnership spawned classic L.A. GUNS songs such as “Sex Action”, “Never Enough”, “Electric Gypsy”, “The Ballad Of Jayne”, and countless more in an impressive catalog of fan favorites. The last time Lewis and Guns joined forces was back in 2000 with legendary producer Andy Johns for the making of what would become “Waking The Dead” – an album that went on to receive tremendous critical acclaim and proved that their musical partnership was every bit as strong as the early days with all-killer-no-filler songs including “Don’t Look At Me That Way”, “Hellraisers Ball”, and “The Ballad”.

The current lineup features founding member Tracii Guns, who has reunited with lead singer, Phil Lewis, along with Shane Fitzgibbon on drums, guitar player Michael Grant and bassist Johnny Martin.

Warner Music will release IRON MAIDEN’s ‘The Book Of Souls: Live Chapter’ worldwide [through BMG in the USA]. This live recording comprises 15 songs captured during ‘The Book Of Souls World Tour’, which covered 39 countries across six continents during 2016 and 2017, and was seen by over two million fans. ‘The Book Of Souls: Live Chapter’ will be released physically in CD, deluxe CD & vinyl audio formats, with the concert film available to stream free online or as a digital download.

Produced by Tony Newton and Iron Maiden founder member and bass player Steve Harris, the album is based on this year’s set list and is a faithful record of the epic show, including six songs from ‘The Book Of Souls’, the band's most recent studio album, along with many other classics and fan favourites.

Dimebag Darrell - Dimevison Vol 2

With 2006's Dimevision Vol 1: That's The Fun I Have, fans of Dimebag Darrell and his work with Pantera and Damageplan, were afforded the chance to see into the world of the legendary guitarist. Compiled from the many, many hours of video footage captured between the mid-80s and his later years, it was a funny, touching and poignant memorial. Its follow up, Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over, is a true celebration of the man and how he lived his life. "He had a unique way of seeing things, and he always lived with a video camera," states his longtime girlfriend Rita Haney. "No matter where we went he was always capturing what was going on, and myself and others around him were filming a lot too. In putting out these videos I just want people to see the way he was, 24/7. What you saw on stage and backstage, that was how he lived." Fans of the original know that this way of life involved a lot of whiskey, an insane amount of fireworks and a contagious desire to have fun - and like its predecessor, the title is also drawn from the words of the man himself. Having a habit of latching onto a saying or a phrase, this soon became part of his particular dialect, affectionately dubbed 'Dime-bonics'. "It comes from something he was saying a lot in 2003 and 2004," Haney recalls. "He'd call from the road and he'd say 'man, I'm beat up out here, but that's the highs and lows of rock and roll. You gotta roll with it or get rolled over.'"
