🐉🥟Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Tea for Harmony·Dragon Boat Festival Cultural Fair in Sydney last weekend!

It was wonderful to see so many visitors enjoying traditional activities, including Yangliuqing woodblock printing, bamboo weaving, jasmine tea, Zongzi (rice dumpling) making, martial arts, folk music performances, and more.

Together, we celebrated the rich heritage of Chinese culture and shared a memorable weekend at the Chinese Garden of Friendship.

A heartfelt thank you to our partners, performers, volunteers, and all who attended. We look forward to welcoming you to more cultural events soon!

✨ Thank you to everyone who attended the opening of Lanting Cultural Salon·Gathering in the Realm of Clouds and Mountains — Literati Elegant Gatherings in Chinese Calligraphy and Painting.

It was wonderful to share this special exhibition with so many art lovers, cultural enthusiasts, and friends of the Centre.

Jointly hosted by Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and China Cultural Centre in Sydney, and organised by Tianjin Museum, the exhibition showcases exquisite paintings and calligraphy inspired by some of the most celebrated gatherings in Chinese cultural history. Through these remarkable works, visitors can gain insight into the refined lives of ancient Chinese literati and the enduring cultural significance of elegant gatherings.

The exhibition is now open to the public, and we warmly invite everyone to visit.

How to make a Zongzi (rice dumpling)?

1. Select the rice leaves.
2. Fold the leaf into a cone shape.
3. Form a small "bowl" (pocket) with the leaf.
4. Add an appropriate amount of glutinous rice and fillings.
5. Fold the top over and wrap it up securely.
6. Tie it with kitchen string.
7. Wrap it around several times to fasten tightly.
8. The finished zongzi.
