So very saddened to hear about the passing of Sam Neill.
Reading through the flood of moving tributes over the last 48 hours, you can’t help noticing how consistently everyone praises his humility, immense talent, and deep care for others. I met and worked with him once only and felt each of those qualities powerfully..

The client actually hadn't told me who the voice artist was going to be before they arrived. When he walked into my home studio back in 2019, it took everything in my power to keep it together, stay focused, and direct an absolute master of his craft.
Before he left, I somehow managed to stumble through a request for a selfie. He met my awkwardness with total warmth, generosity, and good humour. He couldn’t have been more gracious.
Like so many, I’ve admired Sam’s inimitable work on screen for decades. And getting to witness his talent and, more importantly, his profound humanity up close is something I will always cherish.
My thoughts are with his loved ones and everyone whose lives he touched.
