It’s been a huge week for our littlest eggs! While Jules and Adam were in Bankstown, was taking her Marrickville High ensemble to the Lights Up Festival in Chatswood!

Under Anusha’s guidance, these seven young people from various year groups formed a special bond and made a beautiful little piece about a semi- dysfunctional sewing machine.

We are so proud of our youngest eggs, and supporting them in celebrating the things that make us totally unique.

Two very proud little eggs. Our third year running the Multicultural Storytellers program with the at 🎉

This year was set at a sleepover! 🛏️ but we didn’t do much sleeping - we danced hip hop, Attan, the Dabke and the Fijian Meke. We dreamt about Sephora at Parramatta Westfield and snuck into the kitchen to make soup with eyeballs and fingers to scare each other. We drove scooters in Vietnam, rowed dragon boats in Cambodia, flew kites through Nepal, and decorated for Diwali in India.

What a truly magical few days it was celebrating young people who were so generous and such brave performers sharing their stories from Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Cambodia, Vietnam, Fiji and the Cook Islands!

These three little eggs had the absolute privilege of facilitating the multicultural playwright program with the Arts Unit at Blacktown arts Centre this week.

High school students from refugee backgrounds and culturally diverse communities honed their language and communication skills by putting on a show! In three days!

We are so proud of the young people we met and of the incredible work they created about friendship, culture food and a little bit of magic. ✨We can’t wait to see what these young people do in the future!

Thanks for having us Arts Unit it’s possibly the most special part of our year ❤️
