Sydney Youth Orchestras and Melbourne Youth Orchestras are proud to announce our combined Big Busk total of $67,879!

We are incredibly thankful for every musician, audience member, volunteer, staff member and donor who came together to make this year's Big Busk such a BIG celebration of our states' young musicians🎶

Don't want the music to end? The Big Busk continues with Adelaide Youth Orchestras and Tasmanian Youth Orchestras on November 14th!

Last weekend, SYO's The Philharmonic Orchestra had the privilege of performing at ANBOC 2026, both in concert and as a demonstration orchestra throughout the conference.

A huge congratulations to our musicians and to their conductor, Stephen Williams. Also to Dr Joanna Drimatis, Catherine Likhuta, Dr Mark Laycock and Prof Benjamin Northey, who led our conference sessions.

Thank you to all conference attendees and members of the public who caught one of our performances, and to ABODA NSW and Open Academy at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, The University of Sydney for this opportunity.
