Back to the water 🌊

Been a little quiet around here…

But…You sometimes have to step away from the screen and back into the places that inspire you.
A little time away. A little more water. & a lot of moments worth remembering.

Because Code of the Ocean was never meant to be just about what we wear. It’s about where we go, what we feel, and the adventures that bring us back to ourselves.

So… we’re back!!
And there’s plenty more oceans, lakes, and rivers to explore.

When I started Code of the Ocean,
I wanted to create something that reflected the life I grew up loving in Australia and the one I continue to live here in Canada.
A life shaped by the water.
These new hats represent that journey. Simple. Timeless. Made for wherever the ocean takes you.

CODE OF THE OCEAN |
The Octopus.

The ocean has a way of teaching us lessons, if we’re willing to pay attention.

An octopus has three hearts, blue blood, and no skeleton.
It’s only hard part is it’s beak, allowing it to squeeze through spaces that seem impossible.
It doesn’t survive by being the strongest in the ocean.
It survives by being observant, intelligent, and adaptable.
It can solve puzzles, remember solutions, and even change the color and texture of it’s skin to blend into the world around it.

The ocean reminds us that strength isn’t always about pushing harder. Sometimes it’s about adapting, staying curious, and finding another way forward.

Respect the ocean. Learn from it.
& live by it’s code.

Before there was social media, there was The Endless Summer.
It wasn’t just a surf film.
It inspired generations to chase waves, explore new coastlines, and to see the ocean as something that connects us all.
Respecting it’s power, having patience when it’s flat, courage when it rises, and humility when it reminds you who’s really the boss!

Growing up in Australia, surfing wasn’t just a sport. It was part of life. It taught me respect, patience, resilience, and that every wave is different, but every wave deserves to be approached with humility.
That mindset became the foundation for Code of the Ocean.
Whether you’re surfing, diving, fishing, paddling, sailing, or simply standing at the shoreline, the ocean has a way of shaping who we are.
From the beaches of Australia to the coastlines of Canada, the water is different but the code is the same!

Did you know Australia has over 10,000 beaches, while Canada is home to the longest coastline on Earth, stretching more than 243,000 kilometres?

I was born & raised in Australia, where the beach was part of my everyday life.
Today I call Canada home, where the coastline seems endless and the water tells a different story, but the feelings are still the same.
Different oceans.
Different beaches.
Same connection.

That’s what Code of the Ocean means to me.
It isn’t about one country or one coastline.
It’s about the people who feel at home near the water—whether it’s the Australian surf break, a rugged Canadian shoreline, or anywhere in between.

The ocean doesn’t care where you’re from. It has a way of bringing us all together!! ✨🌊

People often ask what Code of the Ocean means?!

To me, it’s a way of thinking.
I grew up in Australia, where the ocean shaped so much of who I am.
Surfing taught me patience.
The water taught me respect.
& the coastline became a place to reset, explore, and understand that nature always has the final say.

Now that I live in Canada, that code hasn’t changed!
It isn’t about one country or one beach. It belongs to anyone who feels at home on the water.
Whether you surf, paddle, sail, dive, fish, skateboard, wakeboard, snowboard, or simply find peace standing at the shoreline.
The ocean doesn’t care where you’re from.
It asks only that you respect it, protect it, and never stop exploring it.
That’s the code.

Every design I create is built around that idea and the community that lives by it.

The eye in our Eye SEA You Series is a reminder that no matter where life takes you, the ocean is always with you, calling you back to where you feel most alive.
Paired with a skateboard, it represents the freedom to move, explore, and embrace every journey, whether you’re carving pavement or chasing the next wave.

The ocean has always shaped life in ways we don’t always see, including the lives of horses.

Wild horses have been found living along coastlines around the world, adapting to salty winds, sandy shores, and changing tides.
From grazing on coastal grasses to wading through the surf, they remind us that nature has a way of connecting land and sea.
Water is life for every horse. Healthy rivers, wetlands, and coastlines help support the ecosystems they depend on, just as healthy oceans help sustain our planet.
At Code of the Ocean, we believe protecting the ocean means protecting the life connected to it on the shore, in the water, and beyond.
