A staple of the Australian live music scene for the last ten years, Matt
Harvey has toured the country performing in his own bands and as
an accomplished session player. No stranger to a crowd who need
entertained, Matt has played at many a major music festival and
venues such as: Quods Bank Arena, The Enmore Theatre, The
Aware Super Theatre, The Fortitude Music Hall and The Metro
Theatre

And has also played at our very own backyard in the past also- so he knows what he’s in for..

Hello everyone

First of all I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported us on this long journey since our first event in February 2023. What started out in a small backyard in a rental property in Marrickville grew to this celebration of community that we all know and love.
None of which would have been possible without the support from everyone who has come to our events, bought a beer or bought some grub from the bistro.

You may have noticed the backyard has been a little quiet in recent months, fret not as I am here to assure you we aren’t going anywhere. Being a completely solo endeavour run by one person (with the assistance and generosity of the local community, breweries, and of course MGC) it does get a bit much to handle, with the ups and downs life throws at us, in most cases than not these situations solidify the need for community spirit, as the saying goes “it takes a village to raise a village,” or something like that.

So while we are quiet for now, there will still be music to listen to and laughs to have in the future, but for now a bit of preparation is needed to make sure I am getting the work done in a sustainable manner, and of course give you all the best community event possible while making sure I am not running out of breath at the same time.
