The only tickets left this holiday are for the North Sydney Flip Fashion Forever workshop, 13-15 July.
For those new to our workshops, they revolve around the Gen Z version of textiles upcycling known as “thrift flipping”
Projects start with garments chosen from our curated thrift rack ..
But how these garments are reworked is entirely up to the creative director - your child or Teenager.
Answers to a few FAQs:
🧵Pick one, two or all days, 13-15 July - it doesn’t matter because each day is what you make it; there are no set patterns or steps to follow
🪡 No sewing experience necessary - just an interest in clothing. You go at your own rate and you decide your level of ambition and experimentation.
❤️ We promote this to a wide age range for the reasons above. It’s great for 8, 9 and 10 year olds because they are still able to do “textile play” and they have no expectations so there are no limits either .. Tweens tend to add eyelets to everything, make adult clothes smaller and embroidery slogans.. and Teens? We have some incredible talents come through, improving their skills and getting tips for HSC textiles.. they thrive on the screen-free time chatting with our young fashion mentors about fashion school, the broken industry and how social sewing will fix it.
