It is with profound sadness that we honour the memory of the beautiful Julie Fitzsimmons, founder of the In loving memory of Nicole Fitzsimons Foundation.

There are truly no words that can capture the depth of this loss.

Julie was the heart of every space she entered - a radiant force of strength, joy, and unwavering belief in the people around her. She didn't just champion dreams with words; she championed them with action, generosity, and a spirit that lifted others higher.

Ikigai Entertainment was privileged to feel Julie’s support from the very beginning. During our inaugural performance, the Nicole Fitzsimons Foundation, was one of our major sponsors. And for founder of Ikigai Entertainment, Lacinda, Julie’s personal support as both a performer and a person was deeply felt and profoundly cherished.

To be known by Julie was to be seen, loved, and encouraged wholeheartedly. Her absence leaves an ache that echoes deeply - but her light, her legacy, and the lives she touched will continue to shine on in all of us, and most especially in her beautiful family.

We will carry her with us, always. ❤️‍🩹

With broken hearts we share the devastating news that we lost our beautiful Mum and the heartbeat of Nicole’s Foundation, Julie Fitzsimons, yesterday. She was the rock of our family, a joy to be around and adored by all who knew her.

We are absolutely shattered and ask for space as we navigate the difficult process of bringing her back home. Once we are ready, we will share more details on her celebration of life.

For now, we find some solace in knowing she's reunited with her beloved daughter, Nicole. The Fitzy family will never be the same, but we will rebuild once again in their honour - just like they would want us to. ♥️

Hi there, it’s been a while! 👋🏼 🥹

Life has most certainly taken a few twists and turns, and while things might be a little quiet on the entertainment front, my creativity has been anything but!

Behind the scenes, I’ve been busy managing social media for & .gymea, and through that, I’ve discovered a real passion for content creation. 📱

So, I’m excited to introduce ‘Ikigai Imagery’ – my new venture into capturing events, weddings, and brands through storytelling and social media. ✨💻

Bringing brands to life, telling meaningful stories, and capturing those in-between moments has been such a rewarding journey. I can’t wait to share more of what I’ve been working on in the coming weeks. 🧠

At this stage, all updates will be via our Instagram as we work to rebuild our website and also, I figure out how to crack the code as to how to reconnect our Instagram & FB page… don’t ask me why I can’t seem to do it?! 🤦‍♀️

ONE YEAR TODAY ||

presented it’s opening night of Xanadu the Musical!

It’s crazy to think that 365 days have passed since this stellar cast, crew & band took to the stage with the help of an incredible back & front of house team supporting their every move.

We were blessed to create art and find our own magic while we immersed ourselves in the world that was Xanadu!

The team is sorry they couldn’t have continued to provide more performance opportunities for artists and audiences alike but the current financial climate has made that a very difficult feat… the story for is still unwritten however, so we will see what the future holds.

For now though, we celebrate the achievements made a year ago and move forward with continued hope, love & joy!

UPDATE ||

It is with a very heavy heart that has decided to postpone our 2023 ‘Creative Course.’

Unprecedented times call for tough decisions and the choice to postpone this short course until the time is right was not one made lightly.

We hope in a different time & place to bring this course to light again and in the meantime, strive to continually work towards creating opportunity, entertainment & experiences.

Let’s welcome to the Creative Course team the multi-talented Sabrina! 👏🏼

Sabrina Kirkham is a performer from Sydney. She graduated from the with a Bachelor of Music (Musical Theatre). She then trained at .hubstudio for a year, completing the Actor’s Ensemble course.

Sabrina recently made her television debut on and soon will be seen on the new series ‘Last Days Of The Space Age’.

She starred as Heather Chandler in ’s Heathers: The Musical, Calliope in ’s IXanadu, and has also been in We Will Rock You and Mamma Mia.

Sabrina regularly performs as Frida with , an internationally recognised ABBA tribute band. She also recently joined the cast of Dorothy The Dinosaur Show.

Sabrina teaches private singing lessons from her home studio, as well as group musical theatre and singing classes at and .

Sabrina has completed her Certificate of Makeup Artistry at the and a Blow-dry course, and now works as a freelance hair and make-up artist.

As a long-time international performer, I’ve spent years on stage and in front of the camera. But, my creative side always longed to be on the other side of the lens, helping people find comfort in capturing their special moments.

So, these days, although I do still get on stage, I find myself more often than not, behind the camera, capturing the beautiful performances of others. From new puppy play dates, to corporate headshots, family moments, and bedazzled events, I love to capture the unique beauty of everyone to come past my lens.

Say 👋🏼 to the amazing Cat who will be one of our Creative Coaches!

Cat has been dancing her whole life, and teaching for half of it. She is intensively trained in a wide variety of styles, which has greatly emphasised the versatility of her choreography and personal style.

After a full-time year at and a few months in New York City training under Broadway’s best, she discovered a love for musical theatre.

Cat recently finished touring in the ensemble of that showed first at the in Melbourne and then the stage here in Sydney.

She has played iconic dance roles in musicals such as Cassie in A Chorus Line (), Annie in Chicago, Cha Cha in Grease, the Cyd Charisse originated role of the Broadway Soloist in Singin’ in the Rain, and she is currently rehearsing the role of Charity in the production of the iconic Sweet Charity.
