From July 1st there will be an increase to the minimum rates for artists covered under the Broadcasting, Recorded Entertainment and Cinema Award.

As a result of this increase, the hourly base rate for Background Extras will be $41.45ph as of 1 July.
Minimum rates for the usual call lengths will be as follows:
4 hours - $165.80
6 hours - $248.70
8 hours - $331.60
10 hours - $487.04
As always, loading will be applicable on top of these amounts for shoots taking place during nights or weekends.
In addition, the minimum rate for recall fees will increase from $82.09 to $85.17 (this rate is usually rounded up, so please expect $86 per recall).
In addition to the minimum rate increases, please also be advised that the superannuation guarantee rate will be increasing from 11% to 11.5%
