Framing - The presentation of your cat’s portrait can be enhanced with a frame. The options for framing involve placing a mat or having the artwork go all the way to the frame’s edge, custom framing, or placing the piece in a stock frame. A frame also helps with the placement of your cat’s portrait within a room and its surrounding objects.

Work in progress. I first sketch up the portrait in pencil as this establishes a foundation for the coloured pencils to layer on top of. After a sketch is done, I then lighten up the pencil marks so that they are barely visible. Coloured pencil work is a delicate process requiring many layers but allows for incredible detail such as with fur.
