Opened the Mil-pra Aboriginal art Exhibition with a solo dance a few weeks back. Always an amazing feeling to be asked, and be able to perform for many people.
I love being wrapped up in dancing and spreading my love for what I do and why I do it.
This dance I created over the past couple months whilst healing on Country. The dance shows me going in my dreaming back home to Wallis Lake Forster, where the crystal clear waters heal me everytime. Letting in the warrior spirit of my ancestors and letting go of energy's trying to steal my shine. π§‘
The best decision I have made in this past year and a half is building up the guts to walk in by myself and join a new dance studio. I have now been back doing musical theatre, contemporary and hip hop in this time (even scoring one of the lead singers in one of the musical numbers) , had two end of year concerts and met some incredible people. I did this to help me with my confidence to dance on stage again .. happy to say I have never felt more comfortable on the stage.. singing, dancing, or just up for a yarn!
