To our wonderful community, it saddens us to share that Sydney Ceramics Market will not be going ahead for 2026.
This has been a very difficult decision, and not one we’ve taken lightly. We know how much the event has come to mean for so many in this community, and we’re genuinely sorry for the impact this will have.
Sydney Ceramics Market requires a huge amount of care, coordination, and commitment behind the scenes — from us, and from the many people involved in bringing it all together. Given what’s involved in delivering the event at the level it deserves, it became clear that moving forward this year would not be possible in a way that felt stable, considered, and true to what the event has come to represent. Rather than compromise that, the decision has been made to pause.
We also want to acknowledge that while it is incredibly sad to see the uncertainty around the future of Australian Design Centre in Sydney, a valued event partner of SCM, this decision is unrelated.
We are so grateful to everyone who has supported Sydney Ceramics Market to date — from the *hundreds* of talented artists and makers to the many *thousands* of you who have come through the doors to celebrate and collect quality, handmade ceramics. It has been something truly special!
