Sister Act, Capitol Theatre, Sydney, 2024 It’s been a while! My longest time ever I think. With the arrival of my son it’s been a year since I made it to the theatre. Oh how I’ve missed it. Sister Act is a fun show but I cried during the opening song. It wasn’t sad. I was just so happy to be sitting in a theatre again and feeling the excitement and anticipation of the experience that has only just begun....

Brilliant Billy Stand outs: Strong female characters Jaw dropping direction Music by Elton John It’s been 11 years since I saw Billy Elliot for the first time at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney. I remember going to see it and having the preconception that I didn’t really like musicals. I do usually prefer the intimacy of small theatres like Belvoir St, Griffin, STC Wharf and Ensemble, where it is much easier to see facial expressions and feel a part of the experience.
