This "former church" was deconsecrated in 1932, it's been a theatre on and off since then and you can bet plenty of people along the way have played upon on the identity of the building as a former church for laughs. This is nothing more than bigots seizing on the current political mood to suppress qu**rs by trying to limit their ability to occupy public space.

Pretty un-christian to try and block social events obviously, we all know how much Jesus liked to hang out.
