It's getting hot out there and it's not going away for a few days.

Many smart home owners have had their roof restored with our heat reflective coating and will be comfortable inside their cooler homes because of it. What is Heatguard?

Heatguard is a variety of coating offered by Regent paints. Regent paints is an Australian company providing coatings specially designed for our unique Australian climate. Heatguard is their offering in the solar reflective coatings market.

Total Solar Reflection (TSR) is the unit used to measure the effectiveness of coatings that reflect solar energy from the roof. Common dark colour coatings have the lowest TSR rating of about 7%, this means that roofs with this coating absorb close to 93% of the heat which is a lot on hot days.

A white coloured roof with Heatguard has a TSR rating of over 89% which means that only 11% of the heat is absorbed on your roof. This is a massive difference and results in reduced energy bills, green house emissions without sacrificing style.

If you were to compare black without Solarguard (7% TSR) and Black with Solarguard (26% TSR) you can see the massive difference between the both coatings whilst visually appearing identical.

"We had our large old roof cleaned, repaired and painted by John (the owner) and Louis from Galaxy.

What a great job and what great workers.

After accepting his detailed quote, they spent the first day cleaning - what a difference.

All our neighbors couldn't believe the new roof. We would have stopped there but we wanted a colour change. On the 2nd day they spent the whole day repairing, replacing, repointing etc . No hidden surprises or "we've found a big problem, "You'll have to pay extra" con.

Everything had already been explained when quoting. The 3rd day they spent painting- what an amazing difference- it's like a new house. I think all our neighbors were just as excited as us! There were no bad surprises, no problems.

They worked like Trojans, were so polite and helpful and they always explained everything and had time for all our questions- as well as doing a few extra things.

No mess left, couldn't be happier. We have absolutely NO hesitation in HIGHLY recommending John's service.
