And to Karen and Dot for having me back to take 2 Warriewood art sessions + Anglicare - for Valle my 8yr old best friend who helped prep for the art sessions - and to Joanne for always finds different art stuff to go to around Sydney - this time indigenous dots.

Oh and the beers at the end of the day on the queenscliff lawn never go astray.

I took myself and the caravan off to Deloraine, leaving John fly fishing in London Lakes with fab friends.

I stayed on a new friends property, where we travelled together to Launceston for a 3 day pastel course.

Such a fabulous experience: gaining new painting skills and friends; meeting many of the amazing artists in Deloraine; interviewing Cindy “the textile artist” for “community conversations” and attending an art opening .francois.art (last photo is one of Fiona’s many stunners)

Cindy and I had gorgeous country walks and sumptuous food. Thanks Cindy (and Kerry) for the motivation 😊

John and my new travel Instagram is called “silverrovers” if anyone is keen to follow 😊 A bit of a play on “grey nomads”. It’s only the beginnings, we have been on the road for one week today.

Thanks for the wonderful farewell and fun last day beautiful participants, doing continuous squiggle paintings. I will miss you all but I’m dying to watch what you all get up to with the fabulous Karen taking the reigns with sidekick Dot.

Symbols of Eternity and thoughts for the New Year - were the focus of today.

A beautiful thought provoking workshop inspired by the Tibetan influence at the Woodford Music Festival I attended. We traced our fingers around the Tibetan eternity symbol while meditating on our word for this year: studied other culture’s symbols of eternity; then designed our own endless symbol with our own word/s for the new year.

“Art in our Park” our end of year celebration was such a gorgeous day.
As well as the very yum food, everyone produced two “partridge in a pear tree” type Xmas trees. Great job team.

We started this workshop with a little story from each on favourite Xmas feelings, smells and sounds and what they like best of all about the season. Easy to guess that being with family and friends won out with the smell of Xmas food. So we painted a family gathering around the Xmas table.

Popular seasonal sounds were cicadas and birds. And Xmas wishes included peace, health and happiness for all.
