Last night I had the absolute thrill of seeing my vocal student .a.ngadimin in The Lion King - Musical (AU) 🦁👏🏻 I was SO proud of her, she totally ate up the role of Young Nala!! Her powerful belt, beautifully tuned harmonising with Simba, sassy acting and graceful lioness movements had me smiling from ear to ear. GO CHLOE and have a blissful run hun!!! 🧡💛

Learning to sing in Greek and having a beautiful new Greek nonna were not on my 2026 bingo card 😂💙🤍 Lunch and karaoke at 😍 The risoni was unbelievably delicious, I highly recommend!!! Big thank you to .con 🙏🙏 Also the baggy Greek flag clothes were chosen without realising! 😃

A few weeks ago I sang for a 100th birthday party which turned into a community singalong 😃🎉🎶 What a feat to turn 100!! 🤯🎈🎊

Big congrats to my vocal student Anjali who went to her first musical theatre audition and will be understudying Dorothy in Fantasia Showstoppers' production of The Wizard of Oz! 🎉👠💛 Super keen to see her go on as Dorothy in June!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Mischief pt 2 🥰⛵️ Thanks heaps to Kennedy for the pics and short snippets featuring my many different crazy singing faces 😂🙏 It was tricky competing with the wind but we got through it - - not captured in this post are Shallow and Diamonds are Forever but they were super fun in a crossover style and everyone sang along like we were in a bar 🍻 Super fun and thanks so much for having me .club 💙

Happy World Voice Day 🎤🎶
Today I feel very lucky to have my healthy voice fully back and to be performing - this photo is from last Sunday. As the sun was setting I felt relieved that things went fine after performing and I took some time to be grateful for that 🙏 In 2016-2017 I was healing from a vocal injury and it traumatised me significantly despite not needing surgery. Even to this day I experience flashbacks of what happened and have been working through it in EMDR with a beautiful therapist. My speaking voice was even hoarse until 2020-2021! These things take longer than one may think to recover and they stick with you even a decade later or more after the initial injury took place. The panic is something I'd never wish on any singer. I'm so grateful to Cate Madill, Vera Wenkert and Julia Hunt-Nielsen who helped me heal my voice and took me down to my comfortable voice type. These things need less stigma around them. So many incredible singers have had vocal injuries and have healed through vocal rehabilitation and speech pathology. It's nothing to be ashamed of and stresses the importance of finding the right voice teacher/vocal team to protect young voices (and older ones too!) 🫶 Take care of your voice, it's the only one you have!

Excuse my stumbling over/laughing my way through the Greek, I've just started learning 😂 Sometimes in life we have very special first meetings 🩷 I was not sure where to find the boat I needed to sing on and this beautiful lady and her family told me where it was going to be shortly docked 🙏 They asked me what I was doing on Mischief and I told them I was singing. Within 5 minutes we were singing in Greek together and felt like old friends despite only just meeting for the first time then and there. Meetings like this are special and I think meant to be 🥺 Thanks so much Yia Yia!! 🫂

This arvo/evening I felt incredibly honoured to sing on the for .club's event 🎶🌊 I sang some opera on the bow of the ship and some more contemporary stuff on the deck 😂 It was a day I'll remember for the rest of my life, thank you so much for having me 🙏 I also got to sing for and in Bexley this week, now for some down time 💤
