Introducing the man behind SUGA, Writer/Actor Max 🧃 ❤️‍🔥

Max Hyner is a South London–based actor, writer, performer and poet. He trained at the Guildford School of Acting (MFA Acting), alongside Soho Theatre’s Writers’ Lab and Character Comedy Lab, and Arvon’s Introduction to Playwriting, where he received a fully funded place. His debut play Ankle Swingers was staged at Omnibus Theatre as part of the 97% Festival. His work SUGA, developed on Soho Theatre Writers’ Lab, was longlisted for the Theatre503 International Playwriting Award. Blending surrealism with sharp humour, his work centres Q***r London voices, exploring identity, intimacy and the absurdities of contemporary life.
