ANNOUNCEMENT: Esteemed member and lecturer of ADFAS, Claudia Chan Shaw, will be sitting for artist Sally Ryan’s portrait in the Archibald Exhibit!
Sydney born creative, Claudia Chan Shaw, has a diverse career spanning art and design, photography, curating, television and radio presenting, arts commentary, public speaking, and collecting.
This is also not the first time a portrait of Claudia has hung on the walls of the Archibald exhibit. Sally Ryan’s portrait will mark the third work nominated for the Archibald prize, in which Claudia has been the subject.
Sally Ryan is an Australian painter and portrait artist living and operating in Sydney. Her artwork is best described as contemporary realism and includes all genres of painting but with an emphasis on portraiture, interiors and still life. Sally works mainly in oils, but also graphite and charcoal.
Her artworks hang in both private and public collections and have been recognized in numerous competitions across Australia such as the Archibald, Doug Moran, Portia Geach and Lester Prizes.
