ASICS Gel Kayano 20 x Sneaker-LAH ‘Ais Kacang’. Unreleased.

i am a huge fan of these. bright, poppy and thoughtfully curated colours! i’ll be honest i’ve never been a fan of draw string laces; the stringiness never has the same impact as a normal lace which is why i changed them over.

there are a lot of tiny references in this shoe that goes over my head but nonetheless it’s a strong summer shoe and i’ll definitely have these in my rotation!

these will drop as a Malaysia exclusive, im not sure when but hopefully soon!

ASICS Gel Nimbus 15 ‘lite-shows’. 2013 release.

the nimbus 15 liteshows released late 2013 which was the same time the infamous kayano 20 liteshow pack also dropped. for that reason the nimbus 15 liteshow set tends to be looked over, forgotten or not even known about.

these definitely stand on their own podium as a top tier pair of the nimbus range. these also sport glow in the dark gels just like the other liteshow releases!

ASICS Gel Kinsei 5 ‘teaberries’. 2013 release.

as many faults the kinsei 5 range has it makes up for in other areas. there isn’t many other shoes that have the same staunch effect as this model. the tea berries are loud and a statement piece and that’s exactly how i like my shoes. i feel like this colourway was more admired than owned but it definitely does the job of snapping necks when people do double takes.

(excuse the ashy larry legs im your standard asian with dry ass skin)

ASICS Gel Kinsei 4 ‘dawns’. 2011 release.

this is the colourway that made me fall in love with the kinsei 4s. i’m a sucker for a fade and controlled vibrancy which this shoe has in spades. probably one of the only colourways you would look at and not say “white laces would be better”.

i really really wish ASICS Sportstyle AU would bring back the kinsei line from 4-6, it’s the sweet spot for that model and one i think people would love to see return, i also have some made ideas for colourways so ready when you are gang 😉

coming in 3 distinct colours; these are my favourites from the galaxy pack.

i’m surprised nimbus 16s haven’t been retroed yet, because it has all the trimmings that makes for a sell out shoe. i hope we can start going back to the golden era of bright as f**k and outlandish colourways.

no reps here, i have had this specific pair in my collection for over 10 years and they are still intact! a beautiful bit of proof of the longevity of asics tech.
