there are a couple of exclusives releasing tomorrow (august 20th 2026) that are going to be absolute bangers (special mention to the reebok G-unit G6 re-release my 13 year old inner child is salivating) but the UP THERE collab with ASICS Sportstyle AU is one i’m excited about and no; it’s not because of early access or some weird case of nepotism some people will assume, but because the shoe itself is so well done.
up there are known for their keen attention to details and this does not disappoint. the textures on every panel is inherently them, from the circle pattern on the mudguard to the clear inner sole panel.
a central volt fade is a risk most people wouldn’t dream of taking when designing shoes and yet here is up there absolutely jumping in.
there’s something to be said about how up there references the old running shoe look (bright colours, wild mesh patterns and 3M reflective details) and gives it a breath of fresh air. this is the closest we have gotten to the golden era of asics bright colourways, so any sort of resistance or push back is completely a matter of taste.
in a drowning sea of neutrals and white bases with small pops of colour that just get swapped going down the gradients of the rainbow; these make a statement and mission to stand out amongst the flock.
