Another packed out week ahead at the MoshPit Bar....

Less than 7 weeks until we close our doors for the last time on 28th November, so come and pay us a visit and support up and coming local bands and small local venues.

Mon 6 till 7.30
Tue - Fri 5 till 7
Sat 6 till 8

Monday night is RAT KLUB comedy at the MoshPit Bar....

Bar opens 6pm for Happy Hour till 7.30pm with $5 schooners and $7 pints of Young Henrys Natural L***r and $5 glasses of house Red and White w**e. All other b**r taps pint at schooner prices and schooners at middy prices.

All done by 9pm so come on down and unwind after Monday Madness with a cold drink and a laugh, and you'll be home in plenty of time to face Groovy Tuesday.

It's Saturday so that means a double header at the MoshPit Bar. Both of today's events are FREE ENTRY with donations to the bands welcome.

Bar opens at 2pm then from 3pm we have Frangipani, The Delicate Light and Sanctimonious F*x bringing a sub-genre of Australian alternative indie rock ladened with hazy dreamy ‘wall of sound’ swampy style reverb and distortion.

The three bands invite you to chill on a spring afternoon and absorb the blissful shoe-gaze music on offer.

This event is free, with a QR code for waged people to be able to make a payment.

Frangipani - are instrumental, handsome (😉), loud, riff laden, garage psych, melodic punk, desert rock, dirt fest, eardrum assailants. Merry riffsters, 3-piece, tone deaf slop shifters, drunk cowboy/pirate doom rock.

The Delicate Light - are a three piece independent "art rock" / post punk band who formed in Canberra in 2025.

Sanctimonious F*x - paint an Orwellian dystopic landscape in colours of distorted guitar, bass and drums.

Our WORLD FAMOUS Happy Hour kicks in at 6pm for two hours of back in time drink prices.

Then from 8pm we're joined by Angel V Animal, S.M.D, Simon Hodges and the Department and Bluesadelic.

Angel V Animal seek to dismantle systemic walls and promote social change through a blend of distorted alt-rock, punk and psych sounds. They sonically explore a dangerous tightrope of dark versus ethereal themes, which makes for an edgy and visceral live experience.

S.M.D are a loud boundary pushing punk band from Newcastle. Their sound stands as a solid banner of resistance against conformity. Their high-energy performances are “no holds barred”, fused with aggressive thrash metal guitars, heavy beats and punk-inspired lyricism – that tell real-life stories of resilience, rebellion and survival. S.M.D are a raw and authentic powerhouse not to be missed!

SIMON HODGES AND THE DEPARTMENT whose sound balances thoughtful songwriting with a spirit that evokes 90s alternative rock. Whether delivering a political charged anthem or a glorious lament to inertia, they're locked, loaded and ready to deliver a highly engaging live rock experience.

BLUESADELIC are a rock n blues band emerging outta Newcastle. Their sound is fresh, groovy, hypnotic, and steeped in deep melodic blues and psychedelic vibes that make for a most immersive live show.

Another full on day at the MoshPit. Come for one band, or come for all seven. Support local, live and loud.

Friday night at the MoshPit Bar....

The Gruntled are pleased to announce the launch of our debut single on vinyl. They'll be supported by the always entertaining and sometimes shambolic The Escapes, along with Dirtbag and Trappist Afterland.

4 top bands on a Friday night for the sum of just $15. We can't do the maths on that but it's $Cheap per band.

Bar opens 5pm for the Happiest Two Hours with $5 schooners and $7 pints of Young Henrys Natural L***r, and $5 glasses of house w**e. All other taps - pints at schooner prices and schooners at middy prices.

Thursday night at the MoshPit Bar Breakneck are back with Alien Feast and Madam Sandler.

Bar opens 5pm for the Happiest Two Hours in the Hood with $5 schooners and $7 pints of Young Henrys Natural L***r, and $5 glasses of house Red and White w**e. *** Not a typo ***

All other b**rs taps are pints at schooner prices and schooner at middy prices until 7pm.
