A luxury mermaid experience is never chaotic — it’s curated 🧜‍♀️✨

For safety, insurance compliance, and quality of interaction, we host a maximum of **12–15 children per mermaid** in the water.

Why?

Because swimming in a mermaid tail requires space, visibility, and controlled movement.
Because water safety is non-negotiable.
Because every child deserves to feel seen — not lost in a crowd.

Our sessions are designed to be calm, structured, and immersive — not splashing chaos.

For larger celebrations, we simply add a second mermaid to maintain the same elevated standard of magic, safety, and personalised interaction.

We normally recommend booking your mermaid after guests arrive to allow for latecomers, to give everyone a chance to arrive, change into swimmers, deliver presents and settle in — so that when the mermaid appears, she has the full focus of the party.

The only thing to consider: the children will need to be kept in a separate area while the mermaid gets into her tail (or a separate room must be available for her to prepare before being introduced). The big reveal is always worth it! But she cannot walk so if she's tailed up elsewhere she must be assisted to the children!

If that feels too tricky to manage, having the mermaid arrive at the party start time works beautifully as well. If you’re worried about late guests, this can actually create a special one-on-one moment between the mermaid and the birthday child before everyone arrives.
