when the online business makes it out of the chat.

houseofdog spends most of its life behind a screen: in your inbox, on your feed, in a very persistent group chat with itself about pawfume formulations. this weekend it got out. actual legs, actual table, actual sydney sunshine, at our first ever Dog Lovers Festival.

(and yes pink trousers, dressed head-to-toe to match glorious. Turns out brand consistency doesn’t clock off.)

meeting customers in real life, some of you new to us, some of you already deep in the houseofdog cult (you know who you are) was the best kind of reality check.

running this solo, there’s usually a quiet crew behind the scenes holding things together. this weekend that support came out from behind the scenes too .jessie.13 thank you 🙏

a few universal truths, reconfirmed in person:

1. every dog owner thinks their dog is the best. (correct.)
2. every dog owner thinks no one could love a dog as much as they do. (also correct - and also everyone else’s problem.)
3. everyone wants the very best for their dog. no exceptions.
4. dogs make the world whole. not a tagline. just a fact.
