Just submitted our grant application to Creative Australia, woohoo!

It was a great learning experience, and we couldn’t have done it without the help of Sarah Newsome, a treasure from the Stories that Stir Community.

Chavi shared her story about her experience of being at the Bondi Channukah party with her precious baby last December when the terrorist attack broke out.

You could have heard a pin drop as she shared with such grace and power.

It’s wonderful to hear how sharing her story at an event like Stories that Stir, helps her heal from the traumatic event.

Karen’s life was split in two by a devastating diagnosis: stage three triple negative breast cancer. While carrying a heavy social work caseload and supporting her dying father, she faced aggressive treatment, isolation, allergic reactions, and profound grief. Yet through faith, whānau, and the courage of those she loves, she discovered a fierce will to live. This is a story of resilience, loss, and rising again when everything tries to break you.
