Some live illustrations take longer than others.
This is what 25 minutes of life illustrating can look like! I wanted to show you what actually happens at my table during that time!
I always welcome guests to come over to watch, ask questions and chat to me!
Sometimes I’ll have a steady stream of guests coming over, and other times I’ll have someone sitting there watching me draw for a few minutes because they’re fascinated by the process.
And that’s exactly why I don’t promise a specific number of illustrations per hour.
Yes, I’m there to illustrate your guests, and I work as efficiently as I can. But I’m also there to create an experience.
I don’t want your guests to feel like they’re interrupting me because I’m trying to race through a set number of illustrations. I want them to be able to stop, watch, have a chat and enjoy seeing their artwork come to life.
Every wedding is different, every guest interaction is different and there are so many little moments throughout the day that you simply can’t be measured by illustrations per hour.
For me, the magic of live illustration is both the finished artwork and everything that happens around it.
It becomes something your guests get to experience, and then take home as a personalised keepsake from your wedding day.
And honestly, seeing their reactions when they realise the illustration is for them will never get old!
