Aung Myint at 80
In Aung Myint’s paintings, black and red are never simply colours. At times they confront one another, at others they merge until their boundaries disappear. Virodhi speaks of that condition: two things that seem to stand apart, yet continue to exist together.
The exhibition brings together black and red works from different moments of his career. Rather than following a timeline, the works are placed in conversation with one another, letting the past meet the present.
