⚠️ BUYING A SECONDHAND MYLAPS TRANSPONDER? READ THIS FIRST! ⚠️

We all love a bargain… but when it comes to buying a secondhand MYLAPS transponder, that bargain might not always be what it seems. 👀

Before handing over your hard-earned cash, make sure you know exactly what you're buying.

🏁 A few things to check:
🔴Ask whether the subscription is currently active and when it expires.
🔴Make sure the unit charges correctly and holds charge.

❗️Remember: buying the physical transponder doesn't necessarily mean you're getting an active subscription with it, and that cheap transponder can become an expensive bargain once you discover what is required to get it race-ready.

If you're unsure about a secondhand transponder you're considering purchasing, contact Olsson Timing Services before you buy. Send us the details and we'll help you understand what you're looking at.

Alternatively, if you'd rather have the peace of mind, Olsson Timing Services is an authorised MYLAPS Sports Technology reseller and can supply new MYLAPS transponders.

Reminder - DAYLIGHTING DAY
This Sunday the 27th September 🏎️
Memberships must also be paid on or prior to Sunday in order for your car to be day-lighted.

PRACTICE DAY – IMPORTANT INFORMATION
If you’re wanting to drive on the practice day, please make sure you have the following:

🔹 Correct licence for your class
Your licence must cover the class you are driving. For example:
• SSA Production Sedan licence = Production Sedans only
• Sports Sedan licence = Sports Sedans only

If you plan on running different classes, you must have each class listed on your licence.

🔹 Physical log book
You must bring your physical log book with you on the day.

Please check your licence and log book before arriving to avoid any issues.

AASA Permit Requirements

All AASA Permitted events now require drivers and passengers to hold a AASA License.

There are several options.

Annual AASA Licence. Yearly from date of purchase
No medical requirement. There is just a medical declaration.
Cost $210 plus card fees for seniors.
Cost $100 plus card fees for juniors.

AASA Event bridging licence. Effectively a half price one day licence if you currently hold a current Speedway Australia licence or a current VSC driver card.
Cost $33 plus card fees. Per event.

AASA 3 month bridging licence. A AASA 3 month, 3 event licence if you currently hold a current Speedway Australia licence or a current VSC driver card.
Cost $55 plus card fees.

AASA One day licence. Same as Speedway Australia and VSC one day licences. For competitors with no annual licence.
Cost $60 plus card fees.

Now that both permit providers now require a permit specific licence, VSC has withdrawn its requirement for a recognised driver’s card. Competitors will have to comply to specific permit requirements.

Accident Fund cover will transfer over to vehicle registrations. Competitors will be covered by additional Accident Fund as part of their VSC vehicle registration. The vehicle must be racing in its registered class, unless otherwise approved and competitors must hold the relevant speedway licence required for the track permit, ie Speedway Australia/AASA

All Stewards and Scrutineers will have to be registered through AASA for AASA events.

VSC still requires its Scrutineers and Stewards to hold a valid VSC recognised Stewards and or Scrutineers card until further notice.
VSC Racing Rules and Regulations can still be used if clubs add it to the permit Supp Regs.
