So much love and gratitude for this bunch. We had an amazing sold out show Ziggy's Pop-up Music Gigs on Friday night. Thank you to everyone who came out to witness these powerhouse creatives and for your love and support of our new music. The warmth in the room was palpable and I came away feeling so uplifted, inspired and full. Huge thanks to Ziggy's Barber Salon for having us take over the salon. Jess says: Just want to say that I have the best band in the world tonight. These two incredible peeps pictured here Georgia Mooney and Nyssa Sue are absolutely nailing the vocals big time. Obviously as a singer I write very voice focused songs, and I am thrilled to have these incredible artists bringing these songs to life with such skill and class.

Not pictured here is also my surprise and extremely special band member Ben O’Donoghue my brother on bass. I can’t tell you how special it is to have Ben playing in the band. We have grown up playing music together which was mostly instigated by my Dad, and now it is just the two of us. Ben is the most beautiful bass player I know and the connection we have through music and family is so dear to me. Thank you Benny for being up here with me tonight, it means so much.

Ok, so wow, wow, WOW!!!

Last night was absolutely off the charts incredible and the perfect finish to what has been an amazing 3 nights of superb music featuring some seriously kick-ass female talent.

Before I rave on and on about how amazing last night was, I would like to just say some massive thankyou's.

Firstly, a huge thank you to Vivid Sydney for supporting this vision. You've got behind the Women in Music series at Ziggy's Pop-up Music Gigs in a big way and I am so grateful for your support and for including us in the Vivid Sydney festivities.

Secondly, a massive thank you to Andrew Pearson and the whole Ziggy's Barber Salon team. You guys have worked tirelessly to make this event happen and your vibe, your support and your 'can do' motto has been absolutely amazing. Ziggy's Barber Salon is the coolest and so are all the Ziggy's peeps. Love you all so much.

Thirdly, I want to thank all the incredible women who performed as part of the Women in Music series at Ziggy's Pop-up Music Gigs. Apart from being mega talents, I thank you all so much for getting on board this concept and for saying 'yes' when I approached you to do a quirky pop-up gig in a Barber Salon!!! You sound checked amongst hair dryers and foils, you squeezed onto our cosy stage and you totally got on board and made this event come to life. Abby Dobson Music, Jade MacRae, Jessica O'Donoghue, Lupa J, SAYAH and XIRA, you rocked this salon so hard, thank you.

And lastly I want to thank you guys, the audience who came along and supported the shows. We sold out 2 of 3 shows, and it was the best time ever. Thanks for celebrating with us and for joining in the pop-up fun!

I would like to finally make a special mention to Jade MacRae who closed our event last night. Apart from being a total class act, she was so committed to the Women in Music concept and brought a world class 11 piece all female band with her. I was so inspired to see all those absolutely mind bending artists in the room, it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. Thank you Jade for bringing the house down and ending our series on a seriously high note. We were so honoured to have you and your band on board for this series of shows.
