ShedMusic!26 is coming.
October 16-18, save the dates.

Here’s a couple of blokes who perhaps sum up what’s at the heart of ShedMusic’26. They come from Alpha in outback Queensland and are going to drive over 8 hrs to get to Coolum for the festival.

Graham and Alan - Alfa Men’s Shed

Alan has been president or vice president of Alpha mens shed for some time now. Alpha Mens shed was established 2018. 2022 shed was appointed receiving depot for containers for change. Raising between $20,000 to $25,000 per year. The money is donated to the community including our own event Music in the Moonlight. We sing bush songs, Ballads & Country Music.

And.. coming up on September 27 we have the final Coolum Jazz Lunch for the current season featuring…

Second String with Sharon Louise.

Second Stream play mainstream jazz with a mix of blues, swing and latin. Sharon Louise has been a welcome addition to the line up this year.

The Coolum Jazz Lunch began life as a project to provide gig opportunities to local jazz musicians linked to the ShedJazz project, a weekly jazz jam session that takes place at the Coolum Mens Shed Community Centre.

Over the past two years new bands have been added to the program and it has grown into an informal ‘Coolum Jazz Club’. With a low cover charge and food and drinks at club prices, it’s the best value jazz on the coast.

More expansion of the project is planned for next year, so stay tuned. To keep across the latest developments just follow this page and get us in your feed.

I’ve been telling you ‘ShedMusic is coming’ for a while..

We now have the venues, catering, bands and logistics sorted. Thanks to our amazing sponsors, we are financially secure. Nearly thirty bands from Mens and Womens Sheds across Australia.

Here’s the ‘first final program’.
Friday’s activities are at the Coolum Mens Shed, Saturday and Sunday are at the Coolum Civic Centre and the Coolum Beach Sports Club.
(Subject to change at the whim of management or if Coolum gets invaded by marauding wildebeest…)

This year’s ShedMusic festival is slowly getting nearer. Save the dates!

Meanwhile regular weekly activities at ShedMusic HQ continue as usual:

Monday afternoons: ShedJazz, a jam session for jazz musos.

Wednesday mornings. The ShedSingers, a community singing group.

Friday mornings: ShedGrooves, a pop and folk music jam session.
