I can’t believe it’s the last few days of ‘The Wildflower Letters’!

It feels a little surreal that after all the thinking, painting and making that went into this exhibition, Thursday is the final day.

If you’ve been meaning to visit, there are just two days left to see the exhibition at Gympie Regional Gallery — last day Thursday 27 August. 🤎

So grateful to everyone who has visited, shared, or found a piece to take home. 🌸

‘The Poetry of Earth’, a small 30 x 30 cm oil painting of the Australian native flower Mirbelia rubiifolia. 🌸

This little wildflower is one of my favourites and is endemic to Eastern Australia. We are lucky to find it within our Sunshine Coast, Noosa and Cooloola wallum!

‘ Little Dreamer’

A small 20 × 25 cm oil painting of the Woombye Bush (Phebalium woombye), observed at Kathleen McArthur Conservation Park last winter.

Although this little flower is small, once the bush if in full flower you can’t miss it! It’s beautiful!

This little painting found its new home on the opening day of The Wildflower Letters at Gympie Regional Gallery and I’m so grateful it connected with someone. Thank you for giving it a new place to belong. ☺️

It’s amazing how often moments surprise you.

Sue Davis lisacchandler Rosie Lloyd-Giblett and I came across this burn completely by chance while walking the high dunes at Marcus Beach. Watching the smoke drift through the heath was one of those days which will be in our memories forever.

That unexpected encounter became ‘Prelude’ - a painting about the beginning of a new season.

I painted ‘Here, At Last’ at this scale because I wanted to capture the feeling of standing amongst the boronia in full bloom along the Boronia Fire Trail in Mooloolah River National Park.

It’s one of those places that seems to stretch on forever in winter, where thousands of tiny pink flowers transform the heath. Whenever I’ve photographed this place, it never quite captures the feeling of being there, so creating it at 3.6 metres wide felt like the closest I could come!

I hope it gives a little glimpse of what it feels like to walk there in winter. It’s a place I keep returning to, and one that has found its way into so much of my work.

‘Heaven in the Hills’ has found its beautiful new home in Brisbane. 🌸

This painting was inspired by one of my favourite winter walks along the Boronia Fire Trail in Mooloolah River National Park on the Sunshine Coast. When the heath is in full wildflower bloom, it feels like one of the most beautiful places on earth… to me, it truly is heaven!

I’m so grateful this special piece has found such a wonderful home. Thank you to and the lovely new collectors. ☺️

For a long time, I wasn’t sure if releasing prints felt right for my work.

Partly because I love the uniqueness of original paintings, but honestly also because I just never had the space in my brain to properly do it well. 😅

But while working so deeply on this current body of work for my upcoming solo exhibition, the timing suddenly felt right to finally introduce a small collection of Limited Edition Fine Art Prints.

This won’t be an “always available” thing. I really want these collections to feel special and intentional, so I’ll likely only release them once or twice a year.

Each print is being produced using beautiful archival materials, and every piece will be personally signed, embossed and checked by me before it leaves the studio.

I’m very excited to finally share more soon. ✨

If you’d like first access when the collection launches, you can join the waitlist via the link in my bio... ETA to release… 2 weeks!!

‘Embers’ | oil on canvas | 122x61 cm

Finalist in the opening 8th of May 2026 - which I am so excited about!

This artwork began as a scene in full daylight - the reference photo I had taken was bright, saturated and high contrast. As I began working on it however I kept coming back to how this scene from the wallum could look at last light.

So I followed that curiosity and found my way around balancing intuition with my knowledge of compressed tone and chroma... in a hope to depict that time of day.
‘Embers’ is a result of leaning into intuition and trusting my skills so far to still hold the composition. Technically the light may not be 100% correct but I am pretty happy with it, and leaning into intuition felt so good… I will definitely be doing this more!
