LAST MINUTE NOTICE❗️❗️: due to COViD new gathering 😷restrictions in NSW 😷combined with bad weather the decided to postpone the official opening of the pumptrack to a later date and the pumptrack will remain closed until further notice. This is obviously very disappointing 😞😞for all kids and we do apologise for the last minute notice.

hi there, here are the amazing 🏁🌲final designs 🌲🏁of our future 🌈pump track 🌈 also published on the byron council website. A great outcome after more than 5 years of hard work with the suffolk park progress association, the and ... many meetings, community consultations, grant applications and discussions for a great project that will benefit kids of all ages ⚡️⚡️

To all riders and future riders of suffolk park.

We haven't been posting any updates on the project last year and take the opportunity to wish you all a happy new year with an update on the project.

Over the past 12 months, the Suffolk Park Progress Association did a lot of work in the background with the Byron council who engaged Worldtrail to design and build the pumptrack.
the design of the track is done and available to view on the council website https://byron.infocouncil.biz/Open/2020/12/OC_17122020_AGN_1178_WEB.htm (section 13.17)
the design shows two stages that have been approved by council vote last month for completion early 2021 - both stages are co-funded by NSW government and the Byron shire council
like any projects, we have to deal with opponents claiming that the pumptrack will "ruin the ambiance of the ‘open spaces’ and the community garden" and further meetings are required to address these concerns and could delay further the project
the Pumptrack is a community sporting asset that will benefit all kids (bike riders, skateboarders and scooters). The pump track will coexist with other facilities (community garden, soccer field, skatepark and tennis courts) and a very large proportion of our community wants and supports the pump track project. In order to demonstrate this support to the opponents of the project, can you please provide a quick comment or just a thumbs up in reply on this post and share this post to any local community groups or individuals that support the pumptrack.

Thank you

The pumptrack team
