Some of our Jude Walker inspired collaged flowers using painted and corrigated cardboard, acrylic paint and Posca pens. After completing observation drawings of flowers students learnt how to simplify and stylus’s their drawings to create a Jude Walker inspired collage flower low relief sculpture. We then displayed them as a collaborative mural. 🌹🌸🌺🌼🌷🌻🪻

Year 2 frogs 🐸 from our John Olsen inspired unit. It’s been a very crowded art room with 100 of these little amphibians scattered around. During this unit we spend time studying and drawing frogs, responding to the work of John Olsen and media testing in our cross-curricular science/art project. Our 3D frogs was the final project in our collection and a standout favourite for the kids. How cute are they! ❤️🤩 -curricularlearning

Our flower centerpieces for Telethon are done and boy do they love ok beautiful. Selected Year 3,4, 5 and 6 classes were given the opportunity to create flowers using a range of materials, techniques and processes during their art lesson last week. What fun they had playing with the materials and creating one of a kind flowers to be used in the vases for centerpieces.

Progress work of our Year 1 John Olsen inspired Frog unit. We started with drawings from imagination and memory then transitioned to observational drawings as well as dominant and non-dominant hand before exploring media techniques and processes. We have been creating a range of drawings while learning about and closely observing frogs and their anatomy that will culminate in the creation of a 3D clay frog. # perthprimaryartteacher # art_with_mrs_elliott

Yay team Subi Primary! 🥳⛳️🏆🥇🏅🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️Overall (gross) medal winners at the Ambrose Golf Teams event at this year’s WA Teachers Games! It was a cold early morning start for a couple of rusty hackers but Mr Cornez and I managed to scrape together a 7 under (6 birdies, one eagle and one bogey)…not too bad considering we had only played72 holes between us this year prior to teeing up in this event. Well run and thanks for organising the event and everyone who played had a ball!
