End of a Era 🩵
Thank you all so much for being here tonight to celebrate not only the end of another incredible year, but the end of an unforgettable era for Ultimate Dance Centre.
As I stand here tonight, I feel so many emotions pride, gratitude, sadness, excitement but more than anything, I feel honoured. Honoured that for over the past 10 years, you have trusted me, trusted our staff, and trusted this little club in Strathpine with your children, their dreams, and their love of dance.
To our dancers, every single one of you has shaped UDC into what it is. You’ve shown resilience, loyalty, passion, and so much heart. I’m grateful to have played even a small part in your dance journey. Watching you grow not just as dancers, but as humans has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I hope you leave tonight knowing that you will always be part of the UDC family, no matter where you go from here.
To our parents and families, thank you for supporting this club through the highs, the lows, the early comp mornings, the late-night training, the last-minute costumes, the travel, the fundraising, the endless commitment. This journey would never have existed without you. You’ve stood behind your dancers, behind our staff, and behind me, and I will never be able to explain how much that has meant.
To our supporters, friends, extended families, and everyone who has ever cheered UDC on, thank you. From the competition seats, to every message of encouragement and every clap, you were a part of this story too.
And to our coaches, past and present and the coaches who helped why I was on maternity leave. I want to give the biggest thank you of all. You are the backbone of this club. You gave your time, your energy, your creativity, your patience, your passion, and so much of your hearts to UDC. You’ve mentored our dancers, lifted them when they doubted themselves, pushed them when they needed it, and celebrated every win, big and small. You shaped this club just as much as the dancers did, and I am forever grateful for the dedication you brought into our studio every single day. UDC would not have been UDC without you.
When we say we were “just a small club in Strathpine,” it never quite tells the full story, because look at what we accomplished together. Multiple Dance Worlds and Summit Bids, 3rd at ICU, virtual world champions for jazz and second for lyrical, multiple State and National champion and Grand Champion titles, and years of unforgettable routines and achievements. But even more importantly, we created memories, memories that will last a lifetime and a community like no other.
As we close this chapter tonight, I want you all to know this, UDC may be finishing as we know it, but what we built together will never disappear. It lives in every dancer who wore our UDC name, in every coach who poured their heart in, and in every family who supported us.
The love, the lessons, and the legacy we built together will live on in every dancer who walked through our doors. This isn’t goodbye to dance, it’s simply the beginning of a new chapter for all of us.
Before I finish, I want to say a special thank you to my parents, my family and to my husband. Thank you for your constant support, for lifting me up on the hard days, for helping me chase this dream, laying way too many floors after floods and for standing by my side through every high and low. I couldn’t have done any of this without you.
I’m excited for what comes next, for me, for all of you, and for the new opportunities and adventures waiting ahead in 2026. While tonight brings tears, it also brings hope, for new beginnings, new stages, and new dreams.
Thank you for over 10 years of love, trust, loyalty, and magic.
Thank you for giving me the honour of leading this club.
Thank you for making UDC a home, not just a studio.
And from the bottom of my heart.
I am so proud of all of you, and I wish every single one of you the most incredible future ahead.
Here’s to celebrating everything we were and everything we will become.
UDC forever. 🩵
