Lower Lakes Stockmans Challenge & Bush Festival Lakes Challenge - 20, 21 & 22 March 2026! Legends & Gunna-be Events + the Bush Festival! Competition events start daily around 8am.

Lakes Challenge Aussie Bush Festival is a three day experience of the Aussie bush spirit in action. A unique blend of action packed horse and rider bush skills with whip cracking entertainment, music festival, kids activities, visitor competitions and more. The Lower Lakes Stockman's Challenge sees over 60 competitors ranging from some of Australia's best and most experienced to some up-and-coming

local Junior riders competing in six events over two days with awe-inspiring action in the Finals on Sunday. The Preliminary Events including Bareback Obstacle, Cattle Handling, Jump Challenge, Horse Shoeing, Whip Crack Course, and Pack Horse. On Saturday all riders will compete in the Cross Country event from 2pm. Challenge Finalists are announced Saturday night followed by the Calcutta Auction. Sunday is Finals day with non-stop action on the Main Arena.
