Stratford Singers were joined by the Bairnsdale Alley Cats choir this afternoon to rehearse a beautiful and poignant Palestinian lullaby.
We’ll be singing this together at the East Gippsland Choral Festival on Sunday May 24 at St Mary’s Church, Bairnsdale.

The Choral Festival is a wonderful opportunity for East Gippsland’s many diverse communities and choral groups to share the joy of music.

Come and hear the rest of the lullaby and many more songs from our local choirs on May 25.

We had a fun time singing for residents at Wattleglen nursing home in Sale this afternoon.

We took them to Scotland, Ireland, Italy, Africa, America and 16th century England with some of our favourite songs.

And finished off with something everyone could join in with…🎶🥰

Three Gippsland choirs had a fantastic time at Valencia Creek Hall today, sharing songs and the joy of singing together.

Stratford Singers, the Alley Cats from Bairnsdale and Grand Ridge 245 from Mirboo North were led by Jenny Candy and Jane Coker, with over 40 singers enjoying learning new songs and creating some beautiful harmonies.

Such a treat to join with other local choirs for a big sing! 🎶😍

Singing benefits your physical and emotional health as well as your cognitive ability. It boosts the immune system, reduces stress hormones and improves mood. Come along to the Courthouse on Saturday afternoon for a Seniors Singalong, led by the Mafeking Hillbillies. This isn't a performance: it's about letting loose on some old country songs and some classics from the 50s through to the 70s. Lyrics will be projected onto the screen, along with chords for anyone who would like to play along. Doors open at 1.30 pm and we'll kick off at 2.00. The bar will be open and entry is free.
Thanks to Wellington Shire for funding this event as part of Seniors' Month.

We had a lovely tuneful time at Wattleglen nursing home in Sale today,singing for residents and especially for our friend and fellow choir member Ros.

Some old favourites and an international flavour, with songs from Scotland, Africa, Macedonia and New Zealand. And finishing as we always do with the beautiful Irish Blessing.

We love our singing and it’s even better when we can share it!
