The Community Players Based in Stratford, VIC in Central Gippsland, we are an ever-changing theatre troupe passionate about community and the performing arts.

Performing interpretations of the Bard's work every April-May as part of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival.

After a disappointing end to our 2022 season (*cough cough spicy cough*) we are so excited to be back in 2023, baby!

Pictured is our motley crew for the 2023 production of The Twelfth Night - ticking off another full run rehearsal of the show with the rain pounding on the theatre roof!

This year, our Community Players are bringing you one of Shakespeare's most loved comedies. A tale of ship-wrecked twins lost on the shores of Illyria, full of mistaken identities, messy love triangles and unrequited love. Come see the ensemble cast of local performers have fun with puns, pratfalls and pranks aplenty in The Twelfth Night.
