IAF BOARD– EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST – March 2026

About the IAF
The IAF is a UNESCO Award winning charity that supports the development of the arts in South Australia by contributing grants to individuals or groups who are in the early stages of their creative journey. We support emerging creatives of any age by raising funds through an ongoing program of events including concerts, film nights and literary dinners. As a volunteer led membership organisation, the IAF Board has
recently focused its efforts on sound governance, sustainability and expanding membership and events to provide entertaining and rewarding experiences to both the artists who create them and the audiences who
enjoy them. Our Strategic Plan 2025-2027 outlines our aspirations to continue advancing the careers of emerging artists. A list of grant recipients. is available on the IAF website and shows the broad array of projects and creatives we support.

Call for Board Members
The IAF Board is currently recruiting for two Board Members to join our proactive and skilful Board. We value governance and finance experience and particularly welcome applications from individuals with a background in fundraising, sponsorship, communications and events management.

Please note
that experience of Board membership is desirable, but not essential, nor is a knowledge of the arts industry. What you do need is passion for emerging artists, a desire to be a volunteer in a worthwhile organisation and a commitment to carrying on the success of the IAF. Board members should be willing and able to attend all board meetings as is practicable; the Board holds bimonthly meetings between February and December as well as planning days in January and July. Board Members must also hold financial membership of the IAF.

Enquiries about joining the IAF Board should be directed to Jane Angel, Chair, IAF at
