WHAT’S ON THIS WEEK AT THE WAR TABLE

Welcome, Tabletop Warriors! September is here, and we’ve got another great week around the table with Commander, Dungeons & Dragons and Warhammer all on the lineup.

TUESDAY 1st Sept – Commander Party
3:00pm – 6:30pm
The War Table, 1/165 Main St, Stawell

Bring along your favourite Commander deck, find a pod and settle in for an afternoon of casual Magic. Whether you’re testing a new brew, bringing out an old favourite or joining us for the first time, all players are welcome.

FRIDAY 4th Sept – Friday Night D&D
6:00pm – 11:00pm
The War Table, 1/165 Main St, Stawell

Grab your dice, take your seat and prepare for another Friday night adventure. Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or completely new to Dungeons & Dragons, come along for an evening of storytelling, questionable decisions, heroic victories and whatever chaos the party manages to unleash.

SATURDAY 5th Sept – Warhammer
6:00pm – 11:00pm
The War Table, 1/165 Main St, Stawell

Build, paint and play! Bring your army down for an evening of Warhammer, organise a battle, work on your latest models or simply come along and spend the night with other hobbyists.

New players, experienced generals and those just getting started in the hobby are all welcome.

And as always, you can drop into The War Table from 3pm Monday to Friday for casual gaming.

Three events. Three nights around the table. Plenty of games still to be played.

FRIDAY 28th Aug - Friday Night Draft
7:00pm – 11:00pm

$30 Entry

Draft your way through Middle-earth with 3 Hobbit Play Boosters, complimentary lands for deck building, promo cards and prize packs.

Feeling hungry? Add our optional $15 pizza & drink package and make a full night of it.

SATURDAY 29th Aug – Wimmera Larping
1:00pm – 4:30pm
Sawyer Park Sound Shell, Horsham

Leave the tabletop behind for the afternoon and step into the adventure yourself. Grab your gear and join Wimmera LARP for an afternoon of live-action roleplaying, combat and storytelling.

SATURDAY 29th Aug – Horsham Warhammer
5:30pm – 9:30pm
Station Youth Centre, 16 Pynsent St, Horsham
$10 Entry

Bring your models, bring your army and bring your game. Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, Combat Patrol and other Warhammer systems are welcome.

We’ll also be bringing our massive display of Warhammer products and huge selection of acrylic paints, so there’ll be plenty to browse between battles.

And as always, you can drop into The War Table from 3pm Monday to Friday for casual gaming.

Four events. Three worlds of gaming. One very busy week.

A little bit of reorganising has been happening behind the scenes at The War Table... and apparently we've reached the point where finding somewhere to put all the games is becoming a game of its own.

More games, more miniatures, more paints, more accessories and plenty more still finding their way onto the shelves. It's been great watching the range continue to grow, and it's only possible because of the support we've received from our local gaming community.

As for the ongoing duck situation...
The extensive reorganisation of the premises provided an opportunity to review the matter. For operational reasons, the results of this review remain classified.

Welcome, Tabletop Warriors, to this week’s main event lineup!

We’ve got another action-filled week ahead as we venture deeper into The Hobbit season, with plenty happening both in-store and across the region.

Come along and join one of our scheduled events, or simply drop in for some casual gaming at The War Table from 3:00pm Monday to Friday. Bring a deck, roll some dice, gather your party, or pull up a chair and see what’s happening.

Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or stepping up to the table for the first time, there’s always room for another player.

Our deck sleeves just got a serious upgrade.

After our weekend of absolute Hobbit mayhem and Golbin carnage, I have just been made aware that an undisclosed number of small ducks have been been distributed to all the players that attended with aling with a single instruction... "hide these"

This week at The War Table

We've got another full week of games ahead, with something a little different each night.

Tuesday we're kicking things off with Commander Party, Friday we're heading back to Middle-earth for The Hobbit Draft Night, and Saturday we're changing gears for Board Game Night featuring Lords of Waterdeep.

Whether you're coming in for Magic, board games, or just looking for some good people to play with, you're welcome at the table.

What an absolutely huge weekend for The Hobbit: Magic: The Gathering

Our Prerelease was completely sold out, with every kit spoken for and the room absolutely buzzing all night. Then we followed it up the very next evening at the Horsham Station Youth Centre with our Second Breakfast Sealed Event — because apparently one adventure through Middle-earth just wasn’t enough!

A massive thank you to everyone who came along, played, opened packs, brought the energy and helped make both events such a success. Seeing tables full, players having a laugh, and the community getting behind these events is exactly why we love running them.

From all of us at The War Table — thank you for an incredible Hobbit weekend.
