This page is about small batch custom-made jigsaws of original works by Australian Artists.
With the nation in lock-down, galleries closed, exhibitions and markets cancelled, a custom made jigsaw by a favourite artist is lovely way to bring a beautiful work into your home and support that artist.
We aim to encourage artists to turn one of their most loved works into a jigsaw so that it can be enjoyed by friends, family and others in lock-down.
There is a small business in Ballarat, "Jigsaw Puzzles Australia (JPA)", (https://jigsawpuzzlesaustralia.com.au/index.php/about) that specialises small-batch jigsaws offering a terrific deal to Australian artists wanting to publish original works.
The work has to fit one of 4 size options, A3 as a 60 (ideal for children) or 252 piece puzzle, a squarish 450 x 500mm 500 piece or the challenging 715 x 530mm, 1000 piece.
The jigsaws can be produced, beautifully packed, and delivered to the buyer for around $40 for either A3 options, $50 for the 500 piece and $60 for the 1000piece puzzles with the artist earning roughly one third. Ignore the prices on the JPA 'how to order' page, they are the 'recommended retail' prices.
Artists won't get rich but it will encourage us to keep working, knowing that people have our works in people's homes and they are enjoying them even more as they reconstruct them.
If you are an artist and wish to try this, select one of your most popular works that will fit one of the size options and post it here and on your own pages. You don't even have to leave your house.
If you are looking to buy a jigsaw, just message the artist directly.
Please 'share' this post if you think any of your friends might be interested or invite them to this page.
"Message" us for more details if you need them.
Please note that we recognised that 'copyright' always remains with the artist.
Please also note that the creator of this page has no vested interest in Jigsaw Puzzles Australia other than being a satisfied customer
