This is important; not in that ‘oh boy he admitted it let’s give him cookies’, but in the fact that everyone should be re-examining their past sexual behaviour and should be focussed on repeated and enthusiastic consent in future physical encounters.

2017 was a pretty rough year. Energy was spent working hard on other projects and also on surviving.
It goes without saying, but Nope club is about reclaiming the power to say no in a patriarchal world where femme people are conditioned to nod constantly and in a world where our consent and free will is constantly pushed.
The name's been ever so slightly tainted by the acts of our Government forcing us to vote on q***r peoples rights, and a rename will almost definitely happen.
For now, we're sticking with it with our current stock. We've got some cool plans for the coming months, so keep an eye out.

Australians are given until August 24 to register to vote in the same-sex marriage postal plebiscite, with papers being distributed to all enrolled Australians from next month.

Australians, especially our media, have a horrible habit of glorifying war. So many ANZACS did not choose to fight or die for their country. So many non-white soldiers are all but forgotten. When we say 'lest we forget' it means we need to remember all of it. Every person killed by every bullet from any side, every civilian who had their life destroyed.
Every person still hurt by military regimes to this day, and the part we play in continuing this pain. Being reminded of this is not an attack on freedom, it's an essential part of acknowledgement.
