Today is our final day of lessons for Term 1!

Reception will be closed from Friday 3rd April and will reopen on Monday 20th April. During this time, all enquiries can be directed via email, phone and direct message.

Holiday classes begin Tuesday 14th April.

Term 2 classes resume Monday 20th April. We can’t wait to see you back in the studio.

🎪 The secret is out… SOPA Senior Students have joined the circus!

Hudsons Circus, to be precise!

Some of our incredible SOPA senior students are performing as part of the Hudsons Circus show while they are in town, and we couldn’t be prouder of them. Watching our students step into professional performance spaces and share their skills with the wider community is something really special.

If you’re looking for something fun to do, Hudsons Circus will be in town until 29 March. Our students will be performing in the show for the next two Thursday performances, and we would absolutely love to see our SOPA community there cheering them on. It’s also an amazing opportunity to see what SOPA students can do and get a glimpse of what SOPA is all about.

Supporting opportunities like this not only lifts our students, but also helps keep live performance and local arts thriving in our community. 🎪

Last night our Senior 2 Jazz and Ballet students pulled off the most hilarious birthday surprise for Miss Danielle 🎉

Miss Danielle, SOPA's Director and Founder + teacher of our Senior 2 Ballet and Jazz classes, was surprised to find her students dressed exactly like her.

Blonde wigs.
Glasses.
And plenty of Miss Danielle energy.

The SOPA staff were completely surprised and it had everyone laughing.

It was such a special way to celebrate someone who has built so much of the community we are lucky to be part of.

Behind the iconic pink SOPA doors 💗

Behind them on Wednesday at 7:10pm are Senior Tap, Intermediate 2 Hip Hop and Senior Lyra are all happening at once. Three completely different classes sharing the same energy, passion and commitment.

By 7:10pm, the studio is buzzing with rhythm, confidence and strength across every studio.

So many journeys unfolding at one time! Come for one class, stay for the variety SOPA has to offer.

Excellence Begins in the Studio ✨

Our January choreography soloist lessons for ATOD Championships have been grounded in determination, resilience and excellence in practice.

This is where discipline is built. This is where artistry is refined. This is where performers are created.

We are so excited to see these solos continue to evolve over the coming months AND we can't wait to see them performed at Australian Teachers of Dancing State Championships in May.
