GAS therapy with & yappin’ thru Beat Retreat’s setup seeing Clarett+ 8Pre x OctoPre as the central nervous system, S3H speakers x sub with additional T5V as booths on the other side of a large ass room. MiniNova from makes its 2nd appearance while the Bass Station II (Swifty Edition) became an essential edition. Their 61-key LaunchKey also paired perfectly with our desktop UDO Super 6. Gear heads rejoice, 5-min video and we still had to talk on 2x speed ⏩

EAT RETREAT! Food has become an essential ingredient of the Beat Retreat experience. Thanks to .c who set the bar high by making ramen from scratch at the first retreat, the culmination of Beats and Broth turns out to be an epic nexus of the two art forms that attendees get to indulge in.

This year’s Lyrebird edition is no different. With vego substitutes, the curated menu has considered 5 years worth of learnings where both nutrition and taste enhances the long weekend to ensure the right amount of energy and delight for attendees to perform at their very best. 🍝 🔊

1st sunset yap for GoodHood Watch this Wed-nes-day 29th with 🔊 As we gear up for Beat Street this Feb 8th, it’d be a right travesty if we didn’t schedule a yappin’ with the one responsible for bringing the night to it’s inevitable crescendo.

Join us 5:30pm onwards as we catch Meanjin’s own smiling assassin (on both DAW & Deck), and check the community’s pulse known as “Good Neighbourhood Watch” ™ … not affiliated with the community led crime prevention program.

Tho we do take Beat Street-safety seriously too… Never know who’ll throw down a freshly cooked tune they claim “hasn’t been mixed” yet… come prepared!
