Some thoughts on space

Some thoughts on space Some thoughts on space is an exhibition that brings together two alternative perspectives on our urban environments and how we engage with public space.

Friday 26th and Saturday 27th March

Denise Lawry and Peter Berzanskis each bring their interpretation of the spaces they have investigated and transform to images. This exhibition considers moments to look more closely and recognise the gendered restrictions or the simply incongruous in our cities and how we relate and understand these sites of human inhabitation. These ideas have been approached

from feminist theories of public space, identity politics and the outcomes of post-production. Some thoughts on space explores ideas that public spaces may theoretically belong to everyone but can be reclaimed in a number of ways, many of which have historically been and still are, unavailable.
