Way back in 1994 I appeared in a national TV, billboard and cinema advertisement for the Holden Barina car. It was a long call, over 18 hours in the studio, with delays on camera rigging, angles, lighting and various other decisions. The professional makeup looked great, but was not detectable and mightily faded near the end! On site, the design was changed from "just the car" to "car with building and four umbrellas...." I tried to dissuade that change but wasn't good at saying "NO" (doh!). The crew were all very hungry and sleep deprived at the end... Sharing now as I try to visualise / decide between a new (old) car (I wouldn't mind a sportswagon...) or do motor clutch rebuild on my Subi ... Recorded from TV via VCR (with a strange creaky noise!)- the advert's copyright Holden Australia.

Merry Christmas time everyone!

I had a great time in my local area City of Stonnington, doing some decorative Christmas work in the Chapel St Precinct, my home town.
So happy to have this little free-styling gig land just before Christmas Perfect on many levels... street cleaning, Easy amenities, and location, location, location 😍 at-

Mr Perceval made a splash landing at the marina a couple weeks ago. I was looking forward to playing with the water and waves but dropped in an unplanned sky to subdue the aggregate-spotted sky, and had to leave site a little earlier than intended. Australian Pelicans, Pelecanus conspicillatus, have the largest bill of any bird. After the Brolga, they are Australia's largest flying bird. During mating season, the male's bill is more orange-coloured than the typical pink. When I see pelicans, it is very easy to imagine a land of dinosaurs with pterodactyls flocking to the seaside to scoop up fish and small birds. This was the second last bird of my Wyndham Wings of the West project ( rather late posting!)
